Continuous interweaving, absolute focuses, fragmentation, and ruptures—as the most potent continuities of introspection—are merely the starting points where an artist's consciousness begins its journey. Without an external reason, yet with complete purpose: the purpose of the absolute representation of essence.
In the opening hour of our conversation at the NIHILEJ GIN CLUB, we come to understand such a concept through the work and creativity of the dear Eliza Stark.
In a world that strives for mediocrity and noise, in what way does your art draw power from that chosen infinity of which we speak in the NIHILEJ Gin Club as curtural manifesto? How does your very being forge an artist who refuses to be ordinary?
E.S. - I actually draw my strength from the ordinary. I observe simple things and try to imagine myself as a part of them. For me, it is important to be in harmony with the world, even though I am, in my own way, a rebel.
NIHILEJ GIN is a liquid gallery—a tangible poetics. How do you, as a creator, define that divine moment—that alchemy of immediate intimacy—when your dream and enacted desire transform into a tangible work?
E.S. - It lies precisely in the moment when music reaches the listener through the performer’s fingers, when a poet’s words travel through lines and arrive at the reader, or when a drink touches the lips, almost like a kiss.
The club of the poetic manifesto gathers those whose word—indeed, whose spirit—possesses weight. What is it in your work so far that you consider your pure Opus, that which deserves to remain etched into our collective cultural heritage?
E.S. - There is only the path. Everything I do is a reflection of who I am, and I like that we are walking this path together.
In our poetic work, it is stated that "never-finished works eternally re-enact the immortality of the act." As an artist, how closely do you identify with this idea of a perpetual quest?
E.S. - At this stage, I find myself in a state of endless searching, so I find it difficult to give a definitive answer.
How do you perceive your signature today on the label of NIHILEJ GIN (and beyond) as a contribution to the creation of those unique patterns that define our present and future aristocracy of the spirit?
E.S. - For me, it truly is a shared journey. It feels wonderful to walk it alongside pleasant companions.
